Alaint,

I had problems awhile back when I first setup my roadrunner cable modem with
Mandrake 6.0

Pump failed to obtain an IP on bootup but changing the /sbin/ifup call to
dhcpcd fixed it. (as you have done also). Then about 3 weeks ago my system
stopped getting an I.P. again. Roadrunner here made some upgrades to their
DHCP servers and it was the cause of my "new" problem. I upgraded to the
latest pump at the time (pump-0.7.0-1mdk) and the standard pump works now.
The descriptions for changes on that version of pump mention fixes in
respect to @home and ROadrunner.

This new pump also worked for a friends Mandrake box I set up also. He uses
@home and originally pump wouldn't work also.

So if your not using the latest pump, give it a try. It fixed all my
problems!

Mike
