Hi!,

I made a mistake last night.
Using Midnight Commander I pressed F8 to delete an entire subdirectory.
The mistake was that I was deleting the /root dir, I stopped the operation
after 1 second but a couple of files were distroyed.

One directory I lost was /root/.kde so when I launched KDE I needed to setup as
I did the first time.
The problem I%m having is that after a couple of hours working under KDE it
suddenly freezes and I can%t do nothing. I tryied with CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE and
CTRL-ALT+F1 to switch but without succes.

So I went to other machine made a telnet, logged in and runned top. I had a
process %kwm% consuming a 75 to 80 % of CPU usage, killed it and all came
back to normal status.
This problem appeared two times. I supppose that this is related to my mistake,
but I don%t understand why it is happening.
Other strange thing is that CTRL+TAB to switch between opened windows under KDE
doesn%t work, I checked the KDE setup and all is well.

Any idea ?, any suggestion ?, do I need to reinstall KDE for a little mistake
in /root/.kde ?.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jorge Carminati.

P.S.: After killed the ps %kwm% I see below the tty4 (from where I start KDE)
the standar dump of startx plus this:

kpanel: waiting for windowmanager
some pixmaps are not valid: shapemode dissabled.
