Gil, Adding Icons to the desktop in Linux (KDE) isn't much more difficult. To add an icon to the desktop, you will need to do the following: 1. right click on the desktop and select NEW option. 2. from the NEW popup list, select the type of shortcut you want. (if its an application shortcut, or a folder short cut ..etc.) 3. plug in the properties and your set. To add something to the panel you goto the main menu and then to the PANEL MENU and then select add application. The rest is self explanatory. --T.
