Hello, Actually, I copied/pasted the exact text from the screen...and that was the ONLY information provided. I have tried using --force as well. All I know, and I am at this point, blaming it on the kdebase problem, is that I cannot run ANY kde app. In every case, after this failed kdebase install, I get this message (in this example, from trying to run konsole): konsole: error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libkdecore.so.3: undefined symbol: getButtonShift__14QPlatinumStyleRiT1 I get this same message trying to run konquerer, kedit, kpackage... Although libkdecore is supplied by kdelibs, which I have been assuming is OK, though I may be wrong there too. Kdebase alone, or several packages together, are conspiring to make kde totally useless and dead on my system. kde-1.1.2 ran perfectly on this same system. praedor Bill Piety wrote: h> > As long as you're having such a good time, why don't you post the rest of > the message. cpio: unlink etc (probably failed, perhaps text file busy?)
