A correctly set up ATAPI CD writer will appear either as scd0 or as
sr0, or both.   I have had more success with sr0.   Whichever works
(try a mount with a data CD in) should be used in your /etc/fstab or
to symbolic link (may need to be a hard link) to /dev/cdrom2 for use
in your /etc/fstab, your choice.   Which IDE channel is being used
for SCSI emulation is given by the append statement in your
/etc/lilo.conf, from which you can trace the ribbon cable and
master/slave jumper setting out to find the actual device.

Of course you can only read mounted CDs and only write unmounted CDs.
