And then stops dead, this is on two machines running mandrake 8.1, a laptop with xfree 3.3.6 and a desktop with xfree 4.1, The install for star office 5.2 works however, but i really want to give 6 a go after trying openoffice. BTW i also have the sun jdk 1.3.1 installed on both machines, but this was true when installing openoffice also. Are there some libs that the installer depends, gtk ones or something that i might not have installed? I cant get any info from the sun website.
