actually, if you use Terra Term Pro for an ssh client for windows, its free,
(open source)
and so is iXplorer, which is an FTP lookalike that uses scp....(ie over ssh)

terra term pro also does standard telnet with much fancier options then
windows telnet.

Also, the ssh client for windbloze is $2000, telnet is free.
So, if your company, who should know better is still kissing Bill's ass,
that
is the way to get to the Linux box from thier woofully under utilized (over
burdened) system.
