I am in part responsible for the tangent taken by the orig thread but I
did so only to counter well intentioned but mistaken info given by the second
responder (I was the third) which was equating 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes
with that of hd speed.
I will do thusly for any any response I know/believe to be miss-informed
because though it may not address the original problem it will educate and may well
prevent other and possibly even more serious problems from occurring.
