Dear all, I have just installed 9.0 and am in the process of installing all other apps that I need for my work. Unfortunately, I have the following problems trying to install some image processing software that I use. In 7.2, 8.0, 8.1 & 8.2 I had no problems at all...! Here is the blurb:

My PC is: P3 800 256Mb RAM 20Gb HD, partitioned as: ~5Gb '/' (as ReiserFS) ~400Mb swap ~14Gb 'home' (as ReiserFS) Does anyone out there have any clues? Maybe there a problem with tar!?!
