Argh. Sign up for PayPal. Then get their debit card.
Then you can either transfer money into the PayPal account or they can hot your bank account directly. It will take a few days (2 or 3) but it comes in handy at times like this. There are horror storeis about PayPal around the web but I have used PayPal for several hundred transactions without a hitch.
