You need to be listed in 'printer admin group' or a member of such a group, such as: printer admin group = @adm root etc BTW, process is like this, browse to the Printers share on the machine, right-click the printer, choose properties, say no when offered to install a driver, click advanced, choose "New Driver". Is there a way I can enable them so > workstations can automatically install the print drivers? The print$ path is > /var/lib/samba/printers, and permission is set to 755 with > user:group=root:root. I tried 777 and change group to printer admin but > nothing worked. Would someone please help? Well, you should also have some directories under there such as W32X86 etc Check the perms of those, and also ensure the share has enabled write for whoever is trying to upload drivers. > > Regards, > Norman > -- |--------------Another happy Mandrake Club member--------------| Buchan Milne Mechanical Engineer, Network Manager Cellphone * Work +27 82 472 2231 * +27 21 8828820x121 Stellenbosch Automotive Engineering http://www.cae.co.za GPG Key http://ranger.dnsalias.com/bgmilne.asc 1024D/60D204A7 2919 E232 5610 A038 87B1 72D6 AC92 BA50 60D2 04A7
