yes, but only in software-render mode so practically the answer is no.
The only thing that'll really work is glgears. This is supposedly
something that they're working on the last time I looked, but that was
some time ago.

Anyway, the issue here would be the local video card. Perhaps a

KDE is... special. If the app relies on DCOP, I think you need the whole
environment to be running. A KDE-user might be able to tell you some
sort of short cut for just running certain components here and/or there,
but my advice is to either use the above link to setup complete session
forwarding or to not use KDE apps :-)
