I have been well pleased with Kaspersky.  The Lite is cheap, but you 
have to manually do the bases updates.  If you want automatic updates 
(virus bases and prog updates) you have to get the second one, 
Professional, IIRC.

Run win4lin if she uses 98 or me.  Then she can use any necessary M$ 
apps.  If she does any and all on-line stuff outside of the windows 
she should be fine.
