Jay it's easy
I weigh a good 225 "dressed to race". There is always some gas left in the
car when I come in. I'm not smart enough to measure it to finish empty.
Our bodywork has been "massaged" and repaired for some additional weight.
Also, we have some additional gussets and bars placed in the car. Add a
starter as well. Plus, a bunch of rivet ends in the frame bars. I don't
know why, but it all seems to add up to 840lbs at the end.
Got the new car done yet? I put a thermostat in the Invader and lo and
behold.......went the same speed as before. I'm going to guess that Brian
will be just as fast with the motor turned around.

Thanks for the info Jeremy. How can you weigh 840 lbs when an Invader only
weighs 520 lbs as delivered?

As I was beside him all week, I know Brent and QRE had 494's. I had a 494
and tipped the scales at 840 because I am tall and fat. My best time was a
1:31:00. I know Steve Jondal had a 493. I think he was the only other one
in the top 6 beside Clint who had one. I have driven with both, with the
Dick's, QRE, and Dolphin and the only difference I could tell was the
special feeling I had when Jim Elder told me I had to add ballast to make
weight. I had a beer and steak that night.
Missed everyone at Mid Ohio last week.
