Chris, did you install all of the .NET stuff

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=9cfb2d51-5ff4-44
91-b0e5-b386f32c0992&displaylang=en

before you installed the SDK

?

When I don't install .NET first, I get the warning, proceed, and get a
subset of the tools. After installation, there is no vcvars32.bat or
vcvarsall.bat on the drive, but there are about 20 files with references to
them. That looks a little broken to me.

I conclude therefore that I must install the .NET first, as I did the first
time.

I just tried with Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 7 32 bit. I did the
following steps which worked fine:

1) git cloned the factor repository.
2) Ran the "Visual Studio Command Prompt" option from the Visual
Studio start menu.
3) Changed to the factor source directory.
4) Ran: .\build-support\factor.cmd

It built fine from there.
