Mold is a fungus and can cause fungal infections in the lungs that
can lead to permanent damage and even death. It is not a bacteria
so antibiotics don't help. Anti-fungal treatments may or may not
help. Bad stuff.
Apparently so. Used to clean up mold
all the time years ago--never occurred
to me it could be fatal, thought of it
more as an annoyance
than anything else.
