Bhairitu, am I getting this right, that you base what a good job is by how clean your work area is and how clean you are at the end of the work day? Those platform workers make a very nice living, probably approaching six figures, which they pay all kinds of taxes on. They keep money flowing into the Treasury(state and federal) and oil and gas for our cars, homes and businesses. Yes, they get hot and dirty, the Gulf of Mexico is very hot and humid, especially this time of year, and they spend days and weeks away from their families doing what they do. I would call being an oil rig worker an honorable job worthy of respect, which I'm sure millions of people would love to have right now.
