In support of Rick's information below:

Back in 1977, I also heard about about the phone call to Charlie Donahue from
Joe Clark. A fellow TM teacher who was very close to Charlie, Joe and the
other Boston/Cambridge initiators from 1970 on told me about this one evening
when we were quietly sharing our doubts about some of the things happening in
the TMO and about MMY's behavior. He wondered, with great grief and guilt, if
perhaps MMY had arranged for the crash knowing that if Joe talked to Charlie
about the sexual advances and relationships, then a huge scandal would ensue.
My understanding was that "June" had told Joe about MMY's activities and both
were trying to deal with this information and wanted to talk with Charlie in
person before making any decisions. At any rate the bottom line was the June
had some really, really upsetting information to share and they wanted to talk
with Charlie in person.

What is also interesting is that this teacher of TM who told me of this, soon
went on to Purusha for a while. I think he needed to feel reconnected to MMY
and try to banish his ambivalence. I believe he is no longer involved in the
TMO at all.

I am not sure if Charlie DOnahue himself would confirm these events. I imagine
that Mark Lerner was also aware of all this, if in fact it happened. I have
always believed it did. My fellow teacher's story and his details were all
right on, and he was there in the Cambridge group.
