I wouldn't characterize it as "fallen" - sounds too, too Christian.
Rather I would say that we all learn from our agonies and ecstasies prior to waking up. After that it is pretty much irrelevant as far as we are concerned. Not sure why you consistently look in the rear view mirror, and obsess over the map you have.
