Ravi, I'm curious. Did you spin a wheel to select your Guru, or Gurus. I mean I get picking Osho. He fits, and his message follows a different track than most of the others. But let's take Ramana Maharishi, whom you disparaged a few days ago. Is his message any different than Amma's? For the sake of full discosure, I know little about either of them. Both both seem to be held in high regard by their followers.
But it seems to me that in general, your M O is to look past any foibles and focus on the inner life of the Guru. So why would it bother you for example, to see an emaciated Ramana Maharishi as opposed to a rather plump Amma? It's that inner life you're after, right? Don't they both embody that? --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Ravi Yogi <raviyogi@...> wrote: > > You have lost my respect whynotnow7, how dare you insult my Guru - yep you are > rotting in hell for the rest of the eternity. > > She looks the like the most beautiful woman to me !!! > > > > ________________________________ > From: whynotnow7 whynotnow7@... > To: FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Fri, November 11, 2011 9:12:00 PM > Subject: [FairfieldLife] Re: Video of Amma with animals > > > Given her looks, it was the same stick - OK, I am going to hell. > > --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, "seventhray1" steve.sundur@ wrote: > > > > > > > Just out of curiosity; did Amma ever proclaim to be a celibate ? > > > > > > I don't know, but there are stories of when her parents were trying to > > get > > > her married and she was chasing away suitors with sticks. > > > > > > Makes for good press doesn't it. > > > > > _ >
