Read Six Degrees, by a science journalist who had no bias and decided to
research the subject in the extensive scientific library near his home in
England. He did and wrote the book and has privately made arrangements for his
own family's future as best he can. I have read that about 99% of scientists
who study this think climate change is real and that we humans are at the least
hurrying the process along. If true, this is a catastrophe and the most
important thing to deal with, other than enlightenment, on the planet. Most of
these 99% of scientists have nothing to gain by saying they believe global
warming is happening. Most of the 1% who disbelieve are employed by oil
companies and other energy businesses. I personally try not to think about this
issue much any more - I read a great deal about it 4 to 6 years ago and now it
depresses me and frustrates me and there is nothing I can do about it. Driving
my Prius makes not one iota of difference unless major countries and 90% of the
population decide to agree and act. All the Green talk is nice, and much is
just a ploy to get people to buy things. Ah well.........
