I don't know why anyone who American, would praise the caste system in India; I just don't get that part. As far as Maharishi, deciding or having it decided for him, that his path was not meant for Shankaracharya, thank God. As far as wanting to know more than Maharishi's name, rank and serial number, I think that is because of the need to feel close to him, when he is not as available now, as he once was...
