Don't complicate things for yourself. It's very simple: We are in control, we always have been, always will be. Every so often one of our Hapless Tools has a little programming malfunction, allowing himself to be persuaded by our competitors that the grass is greener over on their side, but we always find him and bring him back for reprogramming, usually sooner rather than later, as in this case. (Some of our Hapless Tools are more hapless than others and behave in particularly toolish ways.) So set your mind at ease; don't touch that dial. Everything is proceeding according to plan.
