I answered 3, not 2, of the questions that pertained to me. how I see myself how I feel what is at stake here if anything
The other 4 were Ann's to answer for herself. My experience with Robin is that usually he becomes less understanding to me as the number of words increases. I'm still learning from Xeno and Steve how to be a bridge. That's the group I aim to emulate. Hey, you left out the Hatfields and McCoys in your wiki list! ________________________________ From: authfriend <authfri...@yahoo.com> To: FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, October 1, 2012 12:40 PM Subject: [FairfieldLife] Re: today PS --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Share Long <sharelong60@...> wrote: > > Still unable to understand you, Robin, but thanks anyway. Hey, Share, if you fancy yourself acting as a "bridge" between the feuding factions, you're going to need to brush up on your communications skills, be willing to deal with challenges, and extend yourself a bit more. You answered only two of Ann's seven questions; and you haven't appeared to make much effort to understand Robin's comment before summarily shutting down any possible exchange of views. Even just asking "What do you mean, Robin?" could have opened up a dialogue. One might *almost* think you've allied yourself with the Curtis faction against the Robin faction and have no intention of helping bring about a rapprochement. Also, just a tip: If you aren't familiar with a name or term, Wikipedia is a terrific resource: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotations_from_Chairman_Mao http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliban http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvised_explosive_device http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayaan_Hirsi_Ali http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammy_Faye_Baker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uday_Hussein http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qusay_Hussein > ________________________________ > From: Robin Carlsen <maskedzebra@...> > To: FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Monday, October 1, 2012 11:10 AM > Subject: [FairfieldLife] Re: today PS > > > --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Share Long <sharelong60@> wrote: > > > > I see myself as someone who recognizes that everybody is a mix of developed > > and developing aspects; and that as such everybody makes mistakes; and that > > a way to have worthwhile relationships is to proceed on that basis with a > > willingness to both forgive and apologize, make amends, intend to do better > > and then move forward.    > > > > > > I'm feeling compassionate and reasonable as I reply. In your 7 > > questions in a row, I sense some openness and also some challenge. Are > > those what you felt when you wrote? > > > > > > As for what is at stake here, seems like life's always either growing or > > resting. Both good when balanced. Neither good when unbalanced. > >   > > This makes Mao's Little Red Book seem like Hamlet.
