Michael, getting checked is not just for *beginners*. It can be useful ,even 
for an advanced meditator. Just hearing the words in a calm relaxed state can 
have a beneficial effect that allows one to experience *effortlessness*in a 
more effortless manner. Kind of like greasing the skids or even allowing the 
*bottom* to fall-out!

Hilarious on 2 fronts - I don't exclusively do TM and need no one to "check" my 
meditation and in fact I did ask any teacher who ever said don't meditate lying 
down for specifics - other than you might fall asleep and the lady who claimed 
your sleep stress would climb back inside you, no one ever offered specifics.
