This kid didn't even invent this clock. It's just a commercial clock with the
casing taken off.

This video shows that the supposed clock invention by a 14 year old is in fact
not an invention. The 'clock' is a commercial bedside alarm clock removed fro...

Of course they are right. I posted the following on FFL-2 yesterday:

When I first heard the story of that Muslim teen, Ahmed Mohamed, bringing a
ticking device to his school and being arrested I knew immediately that the
whole thing was a set-up.

He was detained for having what his teacher perceived as a bomb.
Indeed, it looks exactly like a bomb - as it was clearly intended so to look.

Police said the electronic components and wires inside his pencil case (which
is the size of a briefcase) looked like a “hoax bomb”. When questioned about
what the device was, Mohamed wouldn’t answer. Police said he was “passive
aggressive” and didn’t give them a “reasonable answer” as to why he had brought
his contraption to the school. “We attempted to question the juvenile about
what it was and he would simply only say it was a clock. He didn’t offer any
explanation as to what it was for, why he created this device, why he brought
it to school,” said James McLellan of the Irving Police Department.

His Muslim father has a history of being a controversialist, debating with
"Islamophobes" (people with an irrational fear of being blown up or beheaded)
and he clearly tutored his son into carrying out this agitprop stunt. His dad
even claimed his son had been "tortured" by the police.

Today, another reporter who interviewed the lad over the phone says that
whenever he asked him about electronics the kid responded enthusiastically;
whenever he asked him about the fake bomb-cum-clock and the ensuing brouhaha
the reporter could hear his sister whispering in the boy's ear the response he
should give.

Anyone who fell for this tall tale is a sap.

The Muslim lad from Texas had an ulterior motive for getting arrested with the
alleged clock parts, according to Richard Dawkins. Atheists seem to have a
dislike to Ahmed Mohamed since Bill Maher is saying the same thing. Are they
right?
