So tell what you did in this life that account for some bad periods?
Most likely you don't know because supposedly the karma came from another
lifetime. Kinda unfair isn't it to pay for things you don't know you did? Some
astrologers and psychics may make a try at it but we take that with a grain of
salt.
Some people also get "boons" in life for doing nothing. How is it the
dishwasher became a millionaire? He must've worked really hard for that $1
lottery ticket? Or maybe someone gave it to him as a gift.
Karma can be ameliorated and people suffering cost you money too. It's in
your best interest for there to be a safety net even if you'll never need it.

One of the reasons I feel there is something to astrology is that I
see people being dealt a poor hand regardless of how hard or smart they work.
It seems transits and planetary periods do indeed play a role in life and our
vaunted "scientists" don't understand it yet. I've also seen charts of
immensely successful people who if they were restaurant dishwashers would
have wound up rich.
When it comes to life 1+1 does not always equal 2.

What's happening is that the dems are freaked by the traction Bernie
Sanders is getting. He's also popular with millennials who could swing the
vote. I also have a theory Sanders is the reason Trump jumped into the race.
So it could be an election of democratic socialism vs corporatism. Thing is,
the US needs some socialism to balance things. All corporatists care about is
making lots and lots of money and the public be damned.
I've listened to Sanders on Thom Hartmann's show for years and he is a very
reasonable person so it won't be the new Soviet Union by a any means. Hillary
is too "status quo" with lots of skeletons in her closet.
