So, why don't they migrate to Saudi Arabia, who has plenty of room and resources and a need for foreign labor and has a similar culture and is the center of Islamic charity,or any other country in the region? Maybe because they want to be a pain in your ass, Mike. LOL I'm not saying *don't help the refugees*. I'm saying, help them stay closer to home and their own culture. I'd much rather go after and eliminate the root cause of their displacement or at least resettle closer to their own homes and culture. And how to you suppose America can "eliminate the root cause of their displacement"? How many hundreds of millions of dollars do you think it would take to do that? It would be cheaper to buy every one of them a house and a nice car. From: "awoelflebater@... It is the height of stupidity to invite people into your own home that you know nothing about, especially if those people come from a very troubled back ground. Try inviting a a few street people into your own home, with or without vetting them. Leave and go to work while they are guests in your own home if you're so trusting and compassionate. Even Maharishi said there has to be a *balance* between the heart and the mind. I am not so "trusting and compassionate" as you like to pretend here. I simply refuse to believe that frightened, sick and displaced families fleeing from a nightmare situation in their own country are necessarily out to convert me, take my job or mug me in the street. And I believe you are impelled by the belief that they are and I don't get it.
