I've tried several times to send the article by hyperlink but it only comes up

Lie*.It gives the details of how Politico lied and what the facts are.
Even The Washington Post has corroborating evidence indicating that Carson
never applied to Westpoint. If Politico retracted anything , it's because
they've been caught red handed in their lie.As far as his attempted stabbing,
He said last night on Megyn Kelly that it was a close relative. Later, I heard
it was his brother. He didn't want to give real names in order to protect their
privacy. CNN questioned his credibility when they didn't interview the right
people and that's what pissed the guy off.It's kind of like people asking Barry
questions about you and your ability to tell the truth.LOL!

If I had attacked people as a teen, it's very likely everyone in my school
would have known about it, and I'd have had a reputation for violence.
Don't give me "liberal hit pieces." Right-wingers are the hit-piece champions.
Politico has done plenty of hit pieces on liberals. And it has corrected its
West Point story to say Carson didn't apply, and that his spokesperson didn't
"admit to a fabrication." Tell me next time a right-wing site corrects one of
its hit pieces.
As I said, Carson is responsible for everything that has been published in his
name. It's perfectly reasonable for CNN to research his claims and ask him
about them if they can't be verified. For him to blow up at being asked during
a TV interview just makes him look guilty.

I'm trying to send the article that Ben Schapiro wrote regarding this matter.
It explains it very well.
The point is Politico said he *applied* for a scholarship. No, his book never
said that he applied. It said that he was *offered* a scholarship and that is
technically wrong because the military academies don't offer scholarships. A
seventeen year old kid would probably see that as a *scholarship*. You can get
a *free* education but you have to serve in that branch for five years
following. Ben declined because he didn't want to go into the military because
he wanted to pursue medicine.CNN claims they can't find anyone that could vouch
for his stories of being violent. Carson said they interviewed the wrong
students, two or three grade levels different. Judy , does everyone you know,
know every detail about you? Do all of your friends know whenever you blow your
top?I would hope not. Yeah, I can see why he would be pissed. They are
challenging his integrity. These are classic liberal hit pieces.

The NYTimes just put up a story on this. Excerpt:
In an interview with The New York Times on Friday, Mr. Carson said: “I don’t
remember all the specific details. Because I had done so extraordinarily well
you know I was told that someone like me – they could get a scholarship to West
Point. But I made it clear I was going to pursue a career in medicine.”
“It was, you know, an informal ‘with a record like yours we could easily get
you a scholarship to West Point.'”
Mr. Carson has recounted the episode of being offered a scholarship at various
points in telling his triumphant personal story. (Technically, West Point does
not offer scholarships; it is free to attend.)
In his recent book, “You Have a Brain,” Mr. Carson described how he decided
which college to attend: “I still had the scholarship offer from West Point as
a result of my R.O.T.C. achievements.”
More recently, in a Facebook post in August responding to a question, he wrote
that he had been “thrilled to get an offer from West Point.”
Really does not look very good for Carson.
Then there's his kerfuffle with CNN a few days ago. CNN sent reporters to
attempt to verify the claims in Carson's autobiography about his violence as a
teen (prior to getting religion) by talking to his school friends and couldn't
find anybody who remembered him as being violent. He was asked about this in a
CNN interview and blew his top, accusing CNN of lying:
