Just how do you suppose that Hillary is going to "take away" our Social Security? You think a president can just sign something or give an order, and it magically happens? That's what Trump seems to think. And what basis do you have for making such an allegation in the first place? It is just a crude and silly accusation designed to scare people.
And why do you assume that "taking away" Social Security would leave "many here on FFL destitute." You have information about the finances of people who post here? How fascinating. Where did you get it? ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, <noozguru@...> wrote : Why is it the "weirdest post of the week?" You trust Clinton? Or are you just going along for the partying? You're not telling us what's best for us anymore! We've seen what you've done! We're charting a new course". Hillary is more of the same, elite politicians telling us what's good for us. However, she has a stronger lead in Florida at the moment. These will be key battle ground states. It doesn't really matter what his disapproval ratings are if Hillary's aren't significantly better. And she needs to stay out of trouble. Hillary's best hope is that things settle down in Europe with Immigrants and their rioting and crime and hope there aren't any Jihadi events. And that Immigrants here keep a low profile without any further terrorist activity. Nothing riles people up more than Mexicans waving Mexican flags here, acting as if they have a right to be here and attacking citizens going to political events or Muslims on Jihad. Trump has never been "popular," as you put it. He has appealed only to a very narrow band of voters. His disapproval ratings are now going through the roof -- around 70% last time I looked. I think this may get even worse for him as the campaign goes on. Did you see his idiotic comments on Brexit? He is simply not up to the job, and almost everyone now knows it. ---In mailto:FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.comfairfieldl...@yahoogroups.com mailto:FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, mailto:mdixon.6569@...<mdixon.6569@...> mailto:mdixon.6569@... wrote : Judy, when I say Brexit was a *done deal*, I'm referring to the idea, that the results of that vote fooled the pundits, all of the experts. Almost every week since last summer, nearly every political pundit was heard or seen saying that Trump's latest comment was the one that would finish him. He can't *win* any longer. His political *blunders* only made him stronger and more popular to everyone's astonishment. There was always an excuse why he couldn't go on. You're making the same *possible* mistake. "Oh, he only won primaries" , No more of those, now he can't possibly win any more voters. Well, there are about 20% of voters who haven't made up their minds yet. As far as Republicans go, many are not enthusiastic about him, don't like him, even hate him but... the overwhelming majority know the consequences of *not* voting for him. *Never Hillary* will be the rallying cry. The undecided voters are another story. Be my guest if you want to underestimate Trump's ability to gain their support but you better hope things in Europe get quiet. There is an anti-immigrant sentiment growing in the west. More and more people are demanding that our borders, customs and culture be respected and terrorism addressed effectively instead of justified.
