FWIW, the hero of the Finnish folk epic, The Kalevala, is often
called "vaka (steady) vanha (old) Väinämöinen". (In Estonian
epic Kalevipoeg that's Vanemuine. In Sanskrit "vane" would mean
'in a/the forest', and "muine" is almost like "muni"; that's
folk etymology at its worst...LOL!)
