Very imaginative, Barry. But actually it's "Quod erat
demonstrandum," meaning "Which was to be demonstrated."
I guess my geometry teacher in high school who made
us write "Q.E.D." at the end of our proofs was one
of those inquisitors. She told us it meant "Quit and
Eat Dinner."
