You really need to reconsider a move to FarCry 4.0. You can multiple sites within the same application database by branch (you might get away with this in 3.0). Plus the plugin architecture lets you load a different set of plugins by domain (or other environment switch). Plugins can include modified functionality and or views unique to the subsite in question.
