hi

I don't know how complex the things are you want to do, but if you just want to
include coordinates you can use http://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/wgs84_pos#lat and
http://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/wgs84_pos#long as predicates in the RELS-EXT
datastream. We do this and use the RI search REST API and xslt (Saxon service)
to aggregate coordinates from a set of objects and convert this to kml for a
Google Maps or Earth view.
See http://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/

Subject: [Fedora-commons-users] Geo spatial and user manager

Hi!

We are studying the possibility to use Fedora to store Geo-spatial data,
with relative geo spatial metadata, but we have some question.

Other than Dublin Core, is it possible to use different Xml schema? (for
example DClite4G, http://gis.hsr.ch/wiki/DClite4G, or ISO)

If not (but probably also if yes), how is possible to manage geospatial
metadata?
(example we have some geolocated maps and we need to search by geogeraphical
region... how Fedora search into DB?)

We another question about user management:
How users can authenticate in Fedora? Where are stored information about
user credential? Who grant access to Fedora repository? Which type of user
can add data to repository and which can search into repository?

Thanks.
