We have Satellite-images to archive, and to put in relationship with other documents. The images covers normally large areas, normally one/two countries or a part of a continent, so it's hard to select only a (lat/lon) point, like in Google maps. We have a bounding box with 4 corners (4 lat/lon pooints) and we want specify another box as search parameter: we want obtain as result all the images that are inner or touch the specified search box. Example if I select a box around Egypt, the result set must be all Africa images and also every Egyptian images like Sahara desert, or Nile river... [satellite images] (look http://catalogues.eoportal.org/eoli.html )
Have you some ideas? Tanks.
