Sorry but I disagree. I prefer to own paperback books, as they take up far less room on my already full and overflowing shelves, they cost less and I can take them to work without weighing my kit bag down too much! I have bought hardcovers, but they don't get read, they're for display only or to be kept for posterity. As for editing errors and typos, yes it's annoying, but you can usually tell what the word was supposed to be anyway. Any errors are likely to be the mistake of the printers or publishers, and not the author... I don't know anything about Ray getting annoyed with his fans, my experience of meeting Ray is that he's quite a laid back, approachable and friendly guy, the sort of man I would quite happily buy a beer for if I bumped into him in the pub!
