This is making more sense to me :-) That there is a core set of stuff that works; there's the last Debian version, and there's tip-of-tree. It might be worth really paring down the web site (and let there be only one true web site) to say that super explicitly. Full stop. End of story. Else yer on yer own buddy. Kind of thing? I think maybe my discombobulation is more about making up my own inferred expectations about Felix from the sundry somewhat-not-entirely-consistend docs and pages and files, rather than there not being an underlying solid core. It is a shame for that core to not be more well known. And ja, Debian implies Ubuntu which implies a potential heck load of people.
