Oh, and no, I wouldn't cage her, I'd give her the bathroom (or
another small room with no furniture). That way she can get a better smell of
her surroundings, but not get hurt. Make sure you don't have any hairdryer cords
hanging down or anything like that, of course. Give her the bathmat or a blanket
on the floor, use a HEAVY crock type of bowl for her water (and food), because
she will bump them, knock them over. Put the bowls against a wall, but not
in a corner, because some blind cats will "camp out" in the corners for security
and balance, with their noses crammed into the wall/floor corner (and you don't
want her to do this in the water dish). I'd give her at least 4 days to a week
in the one room before letting her learn the next room. She's going to have to
memorize the room dimensions and where all the corners and furniture is, so
that's a lot to do in 4 days, and she needs to feel secure (you'll know when
she's ready, if she walks across the bathroom to you when you open the door,
like a seeing cat, then she's ready for the next room). If she seems panicked
when you open the bathroom door to let her learn the next room, I'd put her back
in the bathroom until she begins to seem to want out when you leave the room.
Some cats make these adjustments faster than others, let her tell you when she's
ready for the next step. If you have one very friendly cat who might "buddy up"
with her, I'd introduce them to each other in the bathroom before you let her
explore the rest of the house, because if she can bond with one of your seeing
cats, he/she may guide her around when you give her more rooms to memorize and
explore.

I collect KMR kitten formula labels for Bazil, a 3 yr old special needs cat who must live on a liquid diet for the rest of his life. Bazil's caretaker collects labels and sends them to KMR, where they add up until she earns a free can of formula! PLEASE save your KMR kitten formula labels for Bazil! If you use KMR, even just one can, please ask me for the mailing address
you can send them to, to help feed Bazil!
