yeah, that's me--keen powers of the obvious....

seriously tho, i've always suspected that crying behavior in a new
environment is sort of like a sonar-thing, too.... the cat is trying to
locate themselves in time and space, and listening to hear where he is by
how his own voice bounces back.... defining their new boundaries, maybe?

and it makes sense in terms of older cats who get "lost" in their own houses
and cry and cry, too. (well, it makes sense to me.)
