You have to follow your heart. If you are ever ready to try a screen
door--for your peace of mind--consider putting gauze or something like
it over the door. If your are not at peace with it....don't. You are
doing wonderfully and I bet the dog and cat wind up being very good
friends.

the concern....I brought Dixie (FeLV+) into a house with a FeLV-
(Kitty). Kitty
developed terminal cancer--no relationship to Dixie's presence and I
let them
together. They defined their territories until it was time for
Kitty to leave.
Dixie started going into the forbidden territory and comforting and
learning
from Kitty. BOT: They could communicate but still be safe.
