See, that is why I have a hard time fostering anymore, I DON'T know where they
will end up or what will happen. I rescued two beautiful Flame Point Himis
from the Houston SPCA and they were SOOOOOOOOO skinny and, of course, had
ringworm. Well, after 3 months of nursing them back to health and getting to
know how special they were, I finally adopted them out to a home that I assumed
was really good and, all things considered, it IS a good home; however, they
let them outside and one of them was taken by an owl. My rules are very clear,
no declawing, no outside, no dumping them at a shelter or giving them away, but
people don't listen and do what they want to do. I know we have all gotten the
call "hey, I found this cat, she/he is starving, has a bunch of health problems
and the microchip comes back to your group" and when you call the adopter, they
will not answer your calls or emails.

One more story about trusting people. A local rescue group her got a call from
the shelter telling them that someone turned in one of their cats
(microchipped) and come to find out, it was the FOSTER who took the cat to the
shelter. Hard to trust anyone these days :(
