Jolene,
I used the the Hi-Vite on Bamama due to her anemia. I am on the
anemia group when they mentioned over doesing of some of the
gel's like nutra cal. I noticed Bamama had a lot more energy, I had
both gels at home. WOW when I saw the amount of vitamins I
really got nervous. The Hi-Vite has the largest amounts of A, & E. I
spoke to my holistic vet and she said like yours it's good for a short
period. Too much of some vitamins like A are toxic.
Pet-tinic on the other hand is ok. B vitamins are absorable so they
are ok. But for a cat that has a good immune systems you wouldn't
want to over kill on the B's I guess either.
A good multi vitmin is Pet-tabs you can order on line or get at the
vet. Some of mine like it and some do not. I started using Missing
Link for Bamama and to my surprize she will eat it mixed with
some juices from wet food. That has a lot of good things in it to. I
was giving Charmed Nutro. I think that is what it was. Joan was
that the vitamins you recommanded?
Now some of my guys liked it and some didn't. Best bet is to get
them to take vitamins like these when the are young. All my fosters
finished up Charmed multi's after he passed away. My guys who
were older didn't care for it.
Both my holistic and conventional vets both said becareful of too
much A.

Hi Sharon,
I give my positives Hi-Vite, which is almost exactly like Pet Tinnic,
but slightly stronger. My vet said don't give it to a healthy cat for
longer than a month, so I'd definitely ask your vet about the Pet
Tinnic for your negatives before making any decisions. I do give my
negatives daily cat vitamins. I mix my positives and negatives and
read that if you do it's a good idea to give vitamins or supplements
for an extra boost to the neg's immune system. Jolene
