Did you get my email about Patricia? She might be able to help you with
your questions. Try not to be too worried. I know that's so much
easier said than done.

Thanks Lisa! You guys are a mine of information!
Until we know what the problem is, I've so far rigged up the
humidifier (in which Levi has taken quite a bit of interest--one of my
neg cats, the lazy beautiful one, used it for meditation purposes in
previous years -- loved when it bubbled immediately after filling, and
then would promptly snag the best 'seat' on the floor in front of it,
and stay there for several hours just watching the water level go
d---o---w---n.....) and put them back on their original diet with the
supps including cod liver oil. I also see much broiled chicken breast
in his (their) immediate future...and I'm going to be getting the
Olivet and Transfer Factor (I need to check back the emails that my
memory is serving me right here). Because they are not eating enough,
whatever I've given them so far.
I'll be keeping a very vigilant eye on him this weekend.
I'm wondering now if the 'hiding' is really hiding:
I discovered that his current spot is the lower drawer of a tall file
cabinet i recently moved into that room. It has a pillow in it from
when one of my neg cats used to jump into it for hours.
My concern arises from the fact that Levi has never, ever been out of
sight in the past year--not once. (And of course, he's scratching, and
eating less.)
Do you think this is 'illness hiding' or just normal cat behavior? As
I say, if he's always found some little nook to go i wdn't be worried.
But that has not been his style in the past. He's always been the
gang's "fearless, ferocious leader" :>)
At least he's still giving me eye contact--he's focused. I'm just so
worried he's going to go the same way as Caramel.
Thanks again for everyone's input. Kerry

Is there any way to tell if it's ringworm without shaving?
Oh yes....they can look under a "woods lamp" or a black light lamp
really....and MOST ringworm will florecess a green color...but not
all...AND they can do a culture..they take a few hairs from around the
spot and they let it grow..this usually take 10 days though....The
only reason they shaved my kitties is b/c they all had obvious
hairloss and lesions on them....some cats can have it without even
showing any signs of it...
