I've given 500 mg , and the instructions I've had are 250-500 mg twice a day. I think the 500 mg is for those that don't respond at lower levels. But I use a syringe - so I empty the powder, then mix it with chicken juice or water or something, and squirt it gently into kitty's mouth.
