Hi all,

I'm happy to report a success: I was able to install FEniCS using hashdist
on an Ubuntu 14.04 system without problems (the installation ran through
cleanly). The Poisson demo runs successfully so I assume everything is fine.

I did have some problems on other systems but will have to try a clean
installation before I can report the exact error messages (just to make
sure there was no confusion with different versions of the script or
something similar).

I also had a quick try on our local cluster and at first it looked
promising but then it failed because PETSc wasn't able to pick up
blas/lapack. I think I managed to get past that, but I was wondering:
what's the best way to customise the installation for non-standard
platforms (e.g. to point the installer to certain directories with include
files or libraries)? Also, is there an easy way to use the the Intel
compiler/MKL?

Thanks,
Max
