Ilona, Have your tried to ball wind the skeins? Will the strands come apart at all? If you can get the strands to separate you will have a great yarn for socks. It is pre-shrunk and won't shrink much any more. I pre-shrink my sock yarns so I can put the socks in the washing machine.
