I also put salt in my wool washing water! You can really see how the dirt just falls
off the wool in the water, and it's much faster than when you're washing without the
salt! I attended a one-year course in textile arts and crafts a year ago, and when we
were going to wash our wool, we just went down to the beach with a bucket! The sea
water was perfect for washing in!
Oh, and by the way, I'm new to this list. I've been lurking for some time now, but I
should maybe introduce myself. I'm Viktoria, usually called Vix, and I live in
Gteborg, Sweden. I study archaeology and spend most of my spare time spinning,
weaving, felting, knitting...I'm willing to try almost anything as long as it involves
threads ;-)! And preferably wool!
/Vix.
