First, good luck if you decide to accept the loom.
The manual dobby is an excellent loom, but do keep in mind that each pattern
shot needs a dobby bar to be pegged. (There are ways to insert tabby without
taking a dobby bar for each one). This makes it somewhat more time consuming
and prone to small pegging errors than the computerized dobby heads that
respond to your weaving draft. If that is not a problem for you, have a
really good time experimenting.
