As I mentioned in other post, there's actually no reason to go to Edit
Frames at all.  Just use opt-equals in Speedy (which I assume is
ctrl-equals in Windows).

It only works if you're at the beginning of a proper second ending.

As far as I can tell, the essential condition for a "proper second ending"
is that the previous measure needs to have the repeat item with the ending
hook (ie, the third item under Repeat Selection).  That being the case,
there might still be a way to use this as a kludge, if you can enter this
repeat item and then somehow contrive to make it invisible. If you're
willing to make ALL repeat bars in the entire document invisible, then
that's easy. Otherwise, I can't think of a practical way to do it.
