To all Sibelius mavens on the list: An editor who uses Sibelius is preparing a score for me, which he sends in the form of pdf files. In one movement of the piece (in a file by itself), the first violins are divided throughout and appear on two separate staves. Accordingly, I instructed the editor to place three brackets on the string staves, thus:
a heavy, square bracket for the whole string section; another such for the three violin staves; a piano brace for the two vn-1 staves. But he now complains that he is unable to create the second of these--or rather, that if he is required to do so it will "make him crazy." Is this really so hard to do in Sibelius?
